Hemp Ethanol

Doe anyone know why we as a country have decided to invest billions of dollars making Ethanol from our food sources? Another ingenious scheme of the American Government. Hey, let's use our Food to make Fuel. Here's the thing. Did you know Hemp Bio diesel can be used instead to fuel America's vehicles? Another wonder of this miracle plant. The fuel can be made using the seeds of the Hemp plant. Here's a link with some info about the pollution statistics of using Hemp Bio diesel compared to Petrol. Looks pretty promising.
http://hempcar.org/petvshemp.shtml
So my question is, Why are we not making this fuel and using this resource to our benefit?
And...Why would we even consider to use our countries Food instead of using Hemp?
Sometimes i wonder what their smoking up there in Washington that they have all of these wonderful ideas. Eric Foreman and his  70's show gang come up with better stuff than that..Sheesh.

So, Hemp seeds can be used to make Hemp Bio diesel and The plants themselves can be used to make Ethanol. The Benefits to society in this are pretty much Endless. We could Grow our Fuel, and its better for the Environment than what we currently use. What madness would keep us from doing so?
Look at this!!!

Hemp Ethanol will Only Cost 50 cents per Gallon

September 6, 2009 – I was just watching Jodie and Marc walking through the hemp field and I thought it would be a good time to share my hemp ethanol research with y’all!hemp-bio-fuel
In this day of oil wars, peak oil (and the accompanying soaring prices), climate change and oil spills such as the Exxon-Valdez, it’s more important than ever to promote sustainable alternatives such as hemp ethanol.
Hemp turns out to be the most cost-efficient and valuable of all the fuel crops!
And as it turns out, the whole reason for hemp prohibition – and alcohol prohibition – may have been a fuel monopoly!
(i)Insert from Part One: The Economics of Hemp Fuels—
THE EXPERTS:
I decided to investigate these arguments against biofuels and hemp fuels by bouncing them off people doing research in this area. I spoke with Adrian Francis Clarke of Fibre (Europe) Laboratory LTD, Don Wirtshafter of the Ohio Hempery, Tim Castleman of fuelandfiber.com, and Shaun Crew of Hemp Oil Canada.
It is important to understand that hemp provides two types of fuel; hemp biodiesel – made from the oil of the hemp seed, and hemp ethanol/methanol – made from the fermented stalk. To clarify further, ethanol is made from such things as grains, sugars, starches, waste paper & forest products, and methanol is made from woody matter. Through processes such as gasification, acid hydrolysis and enzymes, hemp can be used to make both ethanol and methanol.
I asked questions about the current prices of hemp biodeisel and hemp ethanol/methanol, and what these prices would be post cannabis relegalization. To be economically viable, these fuels would have to be cheaper than gasoline, currently priced at up to 120 cents per liter (Can.) (7) or up to 3 dollars per gallon (US) (8) Of course, petroleum prices could get much more expensive in the near future, a topic which will be covered in the third part of this article under “peak oil”…
Hemp methanol, on the other hand, does make the fuel lineup. According to Tim, hemp ethanol could be produced for 1.37 per gallon plus the cost of the feedstock, with technological improvements and tax credits reducing the price another dollar or so per gallon! (14) And the cost of the feedstock would become much more available as more hemp was grown for more products, providing more and more free (or nearly-free) feedstock as a “waste product”. Could you imagine paying under 50 cents per gallon (US) or 15 cents per liter (CAN) for your hemp ethanol?!!”

It seems to me a huge waste of a good Resource on our part. If you would like more information on Hemp Fuels I suggest taking a look at  David Malmo-Levine's page on Hemp Ethanol.

Just another way our Happy Weeds can help save the Planet, not to mention our Economy.
Why do we cling to these old notions of Weed being so bad? Weed has many uses, and should be in full production at this moment. Why is our Government continuing to Borrow from other countries, and putting us farther and farther into Debt, when the answer to our financial problems is right here?

IT'S TIME TO FREE THE WEED.

MILLIONS OF AMERICANS AGREE...

Christmas Bud

I was at my buddy's the other day, and he says to me "Hey man, You'll never guess what I've got" with a big smile on his face. From his pocket produces a thumb sized bud wrapped in plastic. "Merry Christmas" he said as he thrust it towards me, "Roll one up". As we smoked I considered something I had not for quite some time, Christmas Bud. Christmas is a magical time of year, and complete with it seems it's own prize bud, which we see once a year, hence, Christmas Bud. Sweet smell, and that taste!
As i sit here now considering the meaning of Christmas and the many pleasures offered for sale in the markets and plaza's. Smoke shops, sex shops, liquor stores to name a few, again I ask, "What is the problem?"
A vast consensus of Americans want to Drink a little Drink and Smoke a little Smoke, And who's to say its not their right? If I remember correctly, Our Forefathers came here to escape persecution. Are we, or are we not guaranteed our personal freedoms? Has our Government sold us out, to the Endless Dollars of Big Business?
Who's really Running things here? Who ever it is, their doing a Crappy Job. I remember something said about Government for the people, by the people. Well, I have yet to see a Politician in our government who really gives a damn about me individually, And though I'm quite sure there are many who care about people as a whole, I still believe politics has perverted our Government.
WHO'S INTERESTS ARE THEY REALLY SERVING?

Any one ever wonder why Politicians make so much money?
Are they Civil Servants, or Movie Stars? They are willing to give Billions of dollars in Bailout Money to companies in return for a certain amount of Job Growth. Can you believe that most of the Jobs these companies offered were overseas! Why are we giving money to the companies that continue to take Gainful Employment away from our Citizens. So we have Record Unemployment, and American Companies would rather send their jobs to Foreign Countries, for Higher Profit Margins, then back their own Countrymen, and the Economy from which they got their start.

If it were up to me, I would force them to bring those jobs back to America, and Employ our people again, Actually do something good for our Dying Economy.
If they refused , I would impose stiff Import Tax, to make sure we would get the money anyways.

.I MEAN COME ON, ITS POLITICS, NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.

Christmas is a time of Love, Families, and Good Will towards all Men and Women. Everyone enjoy your Holiday Season, and BE SAFE.
Merry Christmas

Cannibus Sativa has many uses, and has been used thoughout history for things u may not suspect.

First Fabric Known to Man

The hemp plant, also called cannabis or marijuana, has been used around the world for thousands of years. Sometime around 7000 - 8000 BCE, the first fabric is believed to have been woven from dried hemp weed..

Hemp fabric being woven into not only fabric, but baskets, ropes, and who knows what else..even in the united states today hemp is used in many products. This is but one of the products that can be gleaned from this magical weed....

Weed has many uses you might not expect...

Ford's Hempmobile

In 1908, Henry Ford made his first Model T with hemp plastic. The car was fueled with hemp ethanol..
Can you believe that fords Model T was made with hemp products, and ran on fuel made from the Cannibus plant. That's something you don't learn in school.....

The Cannibus plant has made a notable appearance throughout history.

Cannabis Seeds Used as Food

Around 6000 BCE hemp seeds were used as food in China. By 2727 BCE, the Chinese documented the use of cannabis as a medication to treat a variety of health problems. They later grew the plant on a large scale for food and fiber.

It has even been reported to had come to America with a very famous visitor,

Marijuana Comes to the New World

In 1492, Christopher Columbus brought Cannibis Sativa to America.

These are just some of the interesting facts I've located on this miracle weed. It has been used for food, for fuel, and for fabrics. It was brought to America by one of our founding forefathers. And, interestingly enough, grown by one.

Presidential Marijuana

At Mount Vernon, George Washington grew hemp as his primary crop in 1797. Thomas Jefferson grew hemp as a secondary crop at Monticello.

The economy has profited off of all of these uses and more for well over 200 years. It has been part of our culture, and is now widely accepted in most of the civilized world. In the Netherlands, it is legal. Crime Rates have significantly dropped as a result of the Legalization, and police are able to go back to protecting the community, Rather than harassing them. I believe that the smoking of this plant is our right under the Constitution and Bill of Rights. How can this not be considered a personal freedom?
What excuses will they use to explain it to us so we can understand their manipulative way of thinking? And will we buy into it, as we have always done. We prohibited alcohol in the 1930's and America wasn't having that. Why is it that this prohibition continues?  Especially now, that it has begun to be more widely accepted. I've heard continually, that weed can't be taxed. Are you kidding me? The government can tax anything, and does most frequently. If you knew what you actually paid in taxes it would probably make you sick. The things that the American government does to supposedly protect us, from terrorists, among other threats, have led to the infringement of personal freedoms that should never been taken away in the first place. I see no justifiable reason for the Prohibition of Marijuana to continue. Please feel free to leave a comment if you disagree.
